Studying the Possibility of using Paint to Reduce the Amount of Radon Gas Emitted from Cement

In the present work, it had been measured concentration of radon gas (CRn) for (10) samples cement used in constructions before and after painting them using enamel paint, purchased from local markets, to see extent its ability reduce emissions Rn-222 air. These were obtained different sources available markets Baghdad other provinces. The measurements done by American-made detector (RAD7). results showed that highest CRn air emitted coating was sample (Iranian origin) where (58.27 Bq/m3) while lowest found building material white (Turkish (15.74 Bq/m3). view results, has confirmed into all is below agency's permissible limit (ICRP).
